  "**Description** The first edition of this book, titled Vestibular Learning Manual, was published in 2011, and covered many aspects of clinical vestibular care. This second edition covers newer clinical tests, such as the video head impulse test (vHIT) and the ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potential (oVEMP). The book is divided into chapters based on specific diagnostic tests used in a vestibular evaluation, and each chapter concludes with specific clinical exercises to be performed, as well as questions regarding the tests. There are also brief sections on canolith repositioning and vestibular rehabilitation. **Purpose** The purpose is to give a succinct overview of diagnostic and rehabilitative vestibular audiology, with a focus on active learning of concepts. This is accomplished quite well in the book, as each chapter devotes a brief space to the overview and rationale of the test, and then quickly moves into specific exercises designed to assist students and clinicians in becoming more comfortable with diagnostic procedures commonly used in vestibular clinics. The "Guided Practice" sections at the end of each chapter have detailed instructions to complete exercises, and the "Reflection and Review" sections that follow ask readers to integrate the information learned in each chapter with the overall picture. This book would potentially be very useful in clinical settings, as clinicians would not have to spend significant time searching through lengthy books for assistance with a specific issue or question. **Audience** The target audience is lab instructors, students, and clinicians working in a vestibular/balance assessment and/or rehabilitation setting. The book briefly describes each diagnostic test, along with a brief rationale for each test, and then refers readers to supplemental books for more in-depth information. Overall, the book is clear, succinct, and full of excellent active learning opportunities for both students and clinicians. **Assessment** This is a needed update in an ever-changing field. As research guides clinical practice in new diagnostic techniques, books also must continue to update material to provide the most relevant information. As a book designed primarily for use in clinical settings, this updated edition does just that. While the information in this manual is not nearly as thorough or in-depth as other, more comprehensive books, such as Jacobson & Shepard's "Balance Function Assessment and Management, 2nd edition," that is not the goal of this publication, which is stated from the outset. The clinical and educational utility of this manual is high, and the author does an excellent job of referencing more in-depth books when needed. 4 STARS!"
